Where the ocean meets the open sky, the Tengaraya breaches — not into water, but into air — its vast wings carrying it aloft on thermals of salt and storm.

- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Tengaraya is no mere beast of the deep. Part manta ray, part aerial predator, this creature occupies the dread space between aquatic and airborne threat — equally at home circling coastal cliffs or erupting from a churning sea to strike a vessel from above. Its body is a tapestry of barnacled hide, knotted muscle, and veined wing membrane, with a gaping maw ringed by hooked fangs that suggest it doesn't bother with subtlety when it hunts. The sculpt captures it mid-breach, rising from a crashing wave base that froths and churns beneath it — wings spread wide, jaws open, every detail from the spotted underbelly to the spined dorsal ridge rendered with the kind of specificity that makes this a genuine centrepiece.
This is a creature built for coastal campaigns, naval encounters, or any adventure where the sea itself feels threatening. From the War of the Elements range by DM Stash, the Tengaraya suits both active tabletop use and a prominent spot on any collector's display shelf.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Run coastal, nautical, or elemental-themed D&D and TTRPG campaigns
- Need a memorable flying creature encounter with genuine visual impact
- Want a creature that doubles as a dramatic display piece between sessions
- Are building an aquatic or elemental encounter roster
Encounter Hook:
The party's sloop has just cleared the sea stacks when the lookout screams — not at the water, but at the sky. A vast shadow falls across the deck, and two enormous wings blot out the sun as the Tengaraya descends from altitude in a near-vertical dive, jaws wide, targeting the mainmast. The ship's bell rings. Nobody needed telling twice.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model and wave base are separate pieces, intended to be joined with a small amount of super glue — the two elements interact closely, so we recommend attaching the base for the full effect. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box as a grey display piece.
