This is the third sculpt in Novaminis' flesh golem range, and it brings a distinctly unsettling character to the table. Where other variants in the series might favour brute menace or stillness, this pose captures the golem mid-lurch — shoulders twisting, one arm reaching forward with splayed fingers, the other clutching something coiled and rope-like at its side. The mismatched proportions, visible suture lines running across the torso, limbs, and face, and the slack-jawed expression all speak to a creature whose body was assembled rather than born.

The sculpt carries real textural detail: the thick stitching runs in neat rows across the chest and down the arms, the skin has the taut, unnatural quality of flesh stretched over a patchwork frame, and the rope belt cinched around the waist adds a grim utilitarian touch — as though someone thought it worth keeping this thing decent. The hair is wild and tufted, the bare feet planted heavily, and the overall silhouette is one of slow, inevitable forward motion. This is a creature that does not hurry because it does not need to.

As the third variation in the range, this sculpt offers Dungeon Masters a distinct visual from the other flesh golem poses — useful for encounters featuring multiple golems, or for adventurers who want a specific character to their necromancer's creation. It also makes a compelling display piece for gothic horror collections and painting projects focused on texture and pallid, bruised skin tones.

A great choice for adventurers who:

  • Run gothic horror or Ravenloft campaigns and need a physically imposing construct
  • Want a flesh golem with expressive pose and visible narrative detail
  • Are building out a mad alchemist's or necromancer's workshop encounter
  • Enjoy painting textural challenges — stitching, mottled skin, and rope all reward careful work
  • Collect the full Novaminis flesh golem series across multiple sculpts

Encounter Hook: The party has tracked a series of grave robberies to an abandoned tannery on the city's edge. Inside, the workshop is cold and chemical-sharp, and three slabs are occupied — two empty, one not. As the rogue lifts the lantern, the figure on the third slab sits up, rope still looped at its waist from where it was restrained, and turns its head toward the light with an expression of blank, awful curiosity.
