Flaming Arrow Contortionist by Ella's Arcanum Minis

There is nothing ordinary about this sculpt. Balancing on a T-bar perch atop a star-decorated circus plinth, this acrobatic archer has inverted their entire body into a deep backbend, feet splitting wide overhead while one hand steadies the grip and the other draws a bow tipped with open flame. It is a pose that communicates absolute mastery — of the body, of the crowd, and very likely of whoever the arrow is aimed at.

The detail rewards a painter's eye: filigree-like scrollwork etched across the legs, tightly curled hair framing a focused expression, a rope-strung bow with a dramatically burning arrow at full draw. The circus plinth base — embossed with triangles and stars — roots the scene firmly in the world of travelling entertainers who are never quite what they seem. This is a miniature that will draw the eye from every angle across the table.

The sculpt comes with a choice of base option: a decorative circus plinth included as standard, or the miniature supplied without a base for adventurers who prefer to mount it on their own. Either way, the handstand perch is part of the model itself and integral to the pose.

Whether you paint her as a Rogue who treats acrobatics as both art and assassination, a Monk whose ki flows through every impossible contortion, or the headline act of a sinister travelling circus masking something far darker — this mini brings genuine theatrical drama to the table.

Adventurers who'll love this miniature:

• DMs running carnival, travelling circus, or big top-themed encounters
• Players building an acrobatic Rogue, Monk, or Ranger character
• Collectors drawn to dynamic, high-drama display pieces
• Anyone running a Ravenloft campaign with a Dark Carnival element
• Painters who want a technical challenge with a genuinely eye-catching result

Encounter Hook: The party has been invited to the Grand Stellarion Circus — but during the headline act, the contortionist looses a flaming arrow into the crowd, igniting a curtain that reveals a hidden cage. Whatever is inside it has been waiting a very long time, and the acrobat's smile never wavers as the tent begins to burn.
