Description

He's been hauling nets since before your party was born — and that raised hand isn't a greeting, it's a warning that something in the water is very, very wrong.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' fisherman series, and it brings a distinct energy to the first. Where a quieter figure might stand at ease, this one is caught mid-moment — bare feet planted wide, fishing pole gripped low, and one arm thrown high in an urgent gesture. Whether he's spotted a sail, a sea creature, or something crawling up the dock, the pose says he's seen it before the party has.

The sculpt detail rewards a painter's eye: rough-stitched trousers, a thick rope looped at the hip, a battered wide-brimmed hat, and a simple open vest that speaks to a life spent in salt air and hard weather. He's barefoot — which tells you something about the world he inhabits. There's nothing precious about this man, but there's character in every line of him.

As a second variation in the fisherman set, he pairs naturally with Fisherman 01 to build out a harbour scene, a coastal village, or a dockside encounter. Facing different directions, the two figures can be staged together to suggest a conversation, a warning, or a moment just before chaos breaks loose on the waterfront.

A good fit for adventurers who:

  • Run coastal, port, or nautical campaigns and want credible NPCs on the docks
  • Need a commoner or townsfolk figure who looks like he actually works for a living
  • Want an urgent, reactive pose that suggests something is approaching from the sea
  • Are collecting the full Novaminis fisherman set for a harbour diorama or scatter scene
  • Enjoy painting weathered, textured clothing and characterful faces

Encounter Hook: As the party steps off the gangplank at the village of Saltmere, a bare-chested fisherman further up the dock suddenly flings his arm skyward and shouts across the water — but the wind swallows the words. By the time they reach him, he's pointing at something beneath the surface of the harbour, his fishing pole raised defensively. The water, he says, has been giving things back. Things that shouldn't float.
