Sorngaar — The Cindering is a fire golem of extraordinary scale and menace. His body is a mass of cracked stone and cooling magma, riven with deep fissures that glow with inner heat. Rune-etched armour plates are bolted to his shoulders and forearms, hinting at the wizard who once sought to bind this elemental fury to their will. In one enormous fist he grips a great stone blade, its surface split and scorched, raised mid-swing as though about to bring ruin to an entire adventuring party. The sculpt captures a creature caught between elemental force and purposeful wrath — a constructed guardian that has long since outgrown its original purpose.
The detail across this sculpt is exceptional: from the layered cracks mapping his stone hide, to the ornate circular engravings on his bracers, to the debris-strewn circular base that suggests he's already reduced part of the chamber to rubble. Whether you're running a fire-plane incursion, a dwarven forge complex gone horribly wrong, or a high-CR boss encounter for your campaign's climax, Sorngaar commands the table with real presence. Equally at home on a display shelf as he is centrepiece of a dramatic encounter.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a high-impact boss monster or elemental guardian for a D&D 5e campaign
- Are building encounters set in fire planes, volcanic dungeons, or ancient dwarven forges
- Enjoy detailed painting projects — the cracked stone texture and armour engravings reward a lava OSL or contrast paint approach
- Want a display-worthy centrepiece miniature that holds its own alongside any collection
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the sealed undercroft of the Ashveil Forge, searching for the legendary Emberheart gemstone — only to find it lodged in the chest of Sorngaar, who has been slowly rebuilding himself around it for four hundred years. He doesn't speak. He simply raises the blade.
Sorngaar is printed at 32mm scale and comes with a detailed decorative base as a separate piece — attach with a small amount of superglue. The base and model are designed to interact visually, so we recommend using both together. Ready to prime and paint straight out of the box, or display as-is in bare resin.
