Fire Giants are among the most formidable beings in the Material Plane — a warrior caste built for conquest, armoured in forge-dark plate, and utterly indifferent to the fear of lesser creatures. This sculpt by Epic Miniatures captures one mid-strike: wide stance, weight low and coiled, greatsword sweeping out in a wide, scorching arc. The blade itself is wreathed in sculpted flame, every lick of fire caught in sharp relief — the kind of detail that rewards a careful painter.
The warrior's armour is layered and angular, with overlapping plates across the chest, scaled tassets at the hips, and webbed kneeguards that speak to a distinctly military aesthetic. His face — sharp-featured, bearded, and grimly focused — reads as someone who has fought a thousand battles and found none of them particularly difficult. He wears no helmet, which feels right: this is a warrior confident enough not to need one.
Mounted on a huge 76.5mm oval base, this sculpt commands genuine table presence. Whether you're running a Descent into Avernus encounter or simply want a centrepiece fighter to anchor your display shelf, the scale and dynamism of this piece deliver. It's a multipart sculpt with both supported and unsupported variants available, giving you flexibility depending on your preferred printing setup.
- Running a Fire Giant fortress siege or an erupting volcano encounter
- Collectors who want a large-scale warrior sculpt as a painting centrepiece
- DMs building out giant warband encounters with genuine visual impact
- Painters looking for deep armour detail and dynamic flame effects to work with
Encounter Hook: The party reaches the forge-heart at the mountain's core. Chained to the great anvil by a collar of cold iron — his only weakness — Vorruk the Unbroken has been imprisoned by his own king for refusing to surrender a blade he smithed in secret. He offers it freely to whoever breaks his chains. But the blade is already burning, and someone has to carry it out.
