Fire giants are among the most feared of their kind — disciplined warriors who have built entire civilisations around the forge and the battlefield. This sculpt captures that ferocious discipline in full: a towering armoured figure mid-lunge, one leg driven forward as he winds back a massive greataxe wreathed in sculpted flames. The weapon's blade erupts in detailed fire that flows along its edge, making this a centrepiece piece even before a drop of paint touches it.
The armour is rendered in careful detail — overlapping plate sections across the chest and shoulders, articulated knee guards, and bracers — all suggesting a warrior who has survived enough battles to invest in proper kit. The free hand is open and clawing outward, adding a raw aggression to the composition that elevates this beyond a static combat pose. The face carries a focused ferocity: not berserker rage, but the controlled fury of a veteran who knows exactly how much force he's about to deploy.
Mounted on a huge 76.5mm base, this miniature fills the space a CR 9 fire giant demands at the table. The scale makes him equally compelling as a painted display piece — the kind of model that earns its own shelf space.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a commanding fire giant for a high-CR encounter or campaign climax
- Want a large-scale painting project with sculpted flame detail to challenge their blending technique
- Are building out a giant warband or a forge-cult encounter group
- Collect display-worthy oversized miniatures to show off painted work
Encounter Hook: The party has tracked a series of village raids back to the Cinder Reaches — a volcanic highland where a fire giant warlord named Skorrax the Unbroken has been conscripting smaller humanoids into his forge-army. As the adventurers crest the final ridge, Skorrax himself is waiting, axe already ablaze, having been told they were coming. He charges before anyone can speak.
