This fire elemental sculpt from Ella's Arcanum Minis captures the raw, churning energy of a creature that has never known form — only fury. The figure rises from a wide, flame-licked base, its body a mass of writhing tongues of fire swirling into a vaguely humanoid torso. Arms stretch wide and outward, fingers fragmenting into individual flame-tips, as though it is about to engulf everything within reach. At its centre, a hollow, mask-like face stares forward with hollow eyes — not quite a skull, not quite a visage, but deeply, unsettlingly aware.

The sculpt rewards painters who enjoy blending techniques — this is a miniature purpose-built for fire OSL work, with natural gradient zones from the dense base flames through the mid-body swirls to the wispy outstretched arms. Whether you go with classic orange-to-yellow, an unusual blue-white wildfire, or a sickly green Shadowfell variant, the flowing surface detail gives you plenty to work with. Equally striking left unpainted, where the raw form reads clearly even without colour.

As a gaming piece, it works brilliantly at any table encounter involving elemental creatures — a fire elemental summoned by a reckless pyromancer, an Azer-bound servant breaking free of its bonds, or a wandering mephit that has grown far beyond its station. The wide, dramatic pose reads clearly from across the table, making it easy to track in crowded battle scenes.

A great choice for adventurers who:

  • Run encounters on or near the Elemental Plane of Fire
  • Want an expressive, dynamic elemental that demands attention on the table
  • Enjoy OSL (object source lighting) painting projects with natural gradient zones
  • Need a standout display piece for an elemental or fire-themed collection
  • Are building encounters around summoner NPCs, fire cults, or volcanic dungeon environments

Encounter Hook: The party descends into the caldera seeking the Ember Crown — but something has already claimed it. A fire elemental wreathed in fragments of ancient armour rises from the magma pool, arms wide, face hollow and unreadable. It does not attack immediately. It is waiting to see if they are worthy of its fire — or simply fuel for it.
