Trellus cuts a commanding figure: a veteran soldier clad in layered, intricately detailed armour that draws heavily from classical antiquity — articulated pauldrons, a segmented cuirass, ornate greaves, and sandalled feet that speak of campaigns fought across sun-baked stone. His crested helmet, flanked by swept wings, frames a stoic and battle-worn face. In his right hand he carries a short sword at the ready; in his left, a towering rectangular tower shield etched with elaborate filigree — raised, but not yet braced. He is prepared, not panicked.
The sculpt base tells its own story: shattered classical columns lie strewn at his feet, as though Trellus is all that remains standing after a siege that toppled civilisations. Whether you use him as a decorated legionnaire, a paladin-adjacent fighter, a gladiatorial champion turned wanderer, or a named NPC commanding city walls, he carries weight and history in every detail. He works equally well as a centrepiece display piece or as a recurring face at the table your players won't forget.
Well suited for adventurers who want:
- A martial player character with a classical or ancient Mediterranean flavour
- A named military NPC — general, city guard captain, or disgraced legionnaire
- A rival or ally with an imposing, honour-bound presence
- A display piece that holds its own off the table as well as on it
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at a ruined forum on the outskirts of a collapsed empire — and finds Trellus already there, standing motionless amongst the broken columns, sword drawn, waiting. He was hired to guard this site three months ago. His employer never came back. He is still waiting, because a soldier doesn't abandon his post. He has questions. So do the players.
Trellus is printed at 32mm scale. The sculpt is pre-supported and produced with high-quality resin, capturing the fine detail of the armour filigree, shield carving, and scenic base. The figure and decorative base are printed separately and attach securely with a small amount of superglue — the base is sculpted to complement the pose, so we recommend displaying them together. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming.
