This is the third sculpt in Galaad Miniatures' Female Gnoll range, and it's the most arcane of the set. Where the others carry blades and rage, this one carries knowledge — a tall staff crowned with a bound skull, beads strung along its crossbar like fetishes from a dozen fallen enemies. Her free hand is raised mid-incantation, clawed fingers splayed, while her posture — spiked pauldrons, layered coat, medallion belt — says this is no mere brute. She's the one the pack defers to. The one who spoke the ritual. The one who called the gnolls here in the first place.
For Dungeon Masters, she works beautifully as a gnoll war-shaman, a caster-type lieutenant for a larger warband, or even the final target of a multi-session wilderness hunt. For collectors and painters, the textural contrast between her rough fur, layered robes, and the smooth-polished skull atop the staff offers a genuinely rewarding painting project. Both front and rear views reveal exceptional sculpt depth — the tattered hem, bound wrappings at her shins, and the intricate staff top are all crisp and well-defined at 32mm.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need a caster or shaman-type enemy to lead a gnoll warband
- Are building a wilderness encounter with more tactical variety than pure melee
- Want a gnoll miniature that reads as a named NPC or recurring villain
- Collect creature miniatures for display or competitive painting
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a gnoll raiding band for three days when they find the village elder's skull mounted on a stake at the treeline — still warm, still faintly glowing. At the centre of the camp beyond, a hunched figure turns her staff toward them, and the skulls of the party's own scouting companions hang from her belt.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and scenic base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue will bond them securely. The base is designed to complement the sculpt, and the two do interact visually, so we recommend using it as intended. Minor imperfections from the print process are possible; any small marks or support remnants are easily cleaned up before priming.
