This miniature depicts a female Archmage as presented in the 2025 Monster Manual — one of the most formidable spellcasting NPCs in the D&D ruleset. The sculpt captures her mid-gesture, one hand raised open-palmed with authoritative grace, the other gripping a tall arcane staff topped with a forked, angular finial. Her robes are long and flowing, with dramatically wide sleeves that billow at the sides, and she wears a distinctive tall ceremonial headdress split into two pointed peaks — a clear mark of her station and power. Her expression is calm, composed, and entirely certain of her own superiority.

The details in this sculpt reward careful painting. The layered fabric of her robes, the angular geometric embroidery across her chest piece, and the sweeping collar behind her neck all offer excellent opportunities for blending and highlighting. Her headdress and staff are cleanly defined and paint up sharply whether you opt for a scholarly grey-and-gold palette or something more dramatically arcane. As a grey resin render, the form reads with excellent clarity — what you see is exactly what you get.

Whether she serves as the wise council mage who tasks the party with a vital quest, the cold and manipulative power behind a city's throne, or the final gatekeeper before the players reach the true BBEG, the Female Archmage brings gravitas and presence to any encounter or display shelf.

A brilliant choice for adventurers who:

  • Need a high-level spellcaster NPC for their campaign's power structure
  • Are running city-based intrigue where arcane guilds hold real influence
  • Want a commanding wizard figure for use as a BBEG or allied patron
  • Are painting a showcase display piece and want a robe-heavy sculpt to work with
  • Play Pathfinder, OSR, or other systems needing a versatile robed mage

Encounter Hook

The party has been summoned to the Conclave of the Seven Spires — but only one archmage greets them in the chamber: this one, staff in hand and palm raised. The others, she informs them quietly, are dead. She needs the party to find out why before she is next — and she is very particular about who she trusts with that information.
