The Feathered Butcheress is no ordinary tribal warrior. Sculpted with visceral detail by Great Grimoire, this piece tells a story the moment it hits the table: a scarred, powerful orc woman stands astride a slain cockatrice, cleaver dripping, one hand raised in a gesture that could be a threat, a taunt, or a greeting — and somehow all three at once. Her spiked pauldron, feather-and-rope belt, and face chain mark her as someone who has survived things most adventurers only read about in warnings. The felled beast at her feet — feathers fanned, talons splayed — makes her victory feel earned and recent.

The diorama-style base is rich with narrative detail: a wooden chopping block, scattered bones, rope and chain, and the cockatrice's body rendered in enough detail to almost feel the crunch of the encounter. This is a centrepiece sculpt — whether you're deploying her as a warlord boss, a rival champion, or a feared NPC who runs the most dangerous market stall in the city, she commands the table. Equally at home on a display shelf where every angle offers something new to discover.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a formidable orc boss or tribal champion for a D&D or TTRPG encounter
  • Want a character mini that doubles as a display piece worth painting in detail
  • Are building orc warbands, savage frontier settlements, or mercenary factions
  • Love narrative-rich sculpts with built-in lore and scene-setting presence

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the Ashbone Market to find the entire square silent — every stall abandoned except one. Behind a block slick with cockatrice blood, a grinning orc woman holds up a severed talon and calls out: "You lot look like you've got a problem. I've got a price list. Let's talk."

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Includes the scenic base, chopping block, and cockatrice remains as shown — separate components that assemble cleanly with a small amount of superglue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin miniatures, minor cleanup may occasionally be required. Arrives fully cured and ready for priming and painting, or use straight from the box as an unpainted display or gaming piece.
