Fancy Carriage by Mia Kay M3DM

This wonderfully detailed travelling carriage from Mia Kay M3DM is a feast of sculpted character. The barrel-vaulted roof is tiled in overlapping shingles, the exterior panels bear ornate swag carvings and decorative rosettes, and draped curtains hang at each window. A fold-down step leads into an interior fitted with cushioned bench seating — the kind of conveyance that belongs to someone wealthy, mysterious, or both. Spoked wheels, extended draw-shafts, and a fleur-de-lis interior arch complete a sculpt that rewards close inspection from every angle.
Whether it's the vehicle of a travelling merchant, a Vistani seer, a noble in disguise, or something altogether more sinister, this carriage brings instant narrative weight to any table. It works equally well as a focal point terrain piece, a diorama centrepiece, or a display collector's show piece.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a centrepiece terrain piece for road encounters, market squares, or caravan scenes
- Are running campaigns with travelling NPCs, mysterious strangers, or Ravenloft intrigue
- Want a large-scale display piece that doubles as functional scatter terrain
- Enjoy painting rich, textured surfaces with plenty of detail to bring out with washes and drybrushing
Encounter Hook:
The carriage has sat at the crossroads for three days. No horse. No driver. The curtains are always drawn, but candlelight flickers behind them each night — and every morning, a different villager claims they heard soft music coming from within.
