This is Fallen Tree 03, the third variation in Novaminis' fallen tree scatter set — and the most dramatically thorned of the lot. The hollow, broken trunk lies low to the ground with a wide, rotted opening at one end, its bark deeply textured with cracked, scaly detail that catches paint and dry-brushing beautifully. Along the length of the log, clusters of gnarled, branch-like thorns spike upward in irregular formations — some long and pointed like bone, others curled and twisted like something older than the tree itself. It reads less like fallen timber and more like something that was never entirely natural to begin with.
Whether you're building a haunted forest clearing, a Feywild glade gone wrong, or a Druidic ritual site, this piece adds genuine character to your terrain layout. It serves equally well as line-of-sight blocking scatter in a combat encounter, a focal point in a diorama, or a textured backdrop behind a display miniature.
Compared to variants 01 and 02, this piece has the most complex thorn arrangement — making it the standout piece of the set when placed centrally, or a strong accent piece when combined with the others.
