Fallen Overseer Bust by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
He was once the iron fist of a dark empire — now his likeness endures in stone and sorrow, a monument to power that devoured itself.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
The Fallen Overseer is a warrior-lord cast low, and every detail of this bust tells that story. His scarred, broad face stares out from behind a vast horned shield-crest, chainmail coif still in place, the jaw set with the grim resolve of a man who has seen the worst of war and dispensed most of it himself. Cracked and battle-worn plate covers his chest and shoulders, and a great curved blade rises behind him like a dark standard — or a final warning. This is not a figure of regret. This is a figure of consequence.
As a display bust rather than a combat mini, the Fallen Overseer is sculpted to reward the painter's eye. The chainmail texture alone offers hours of rewarding work, and the sharp contrast between his weathered face and the ornate horror of the horned crest above him gives experienced painters something genuinely worth getting into. Whether mounted on a shelf as a finished centrepiece or used as visual reference for a warlord patron or campaign villain, this piece earns its place.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Want a detailed display project with rich texture work — chainmail, cracked plate, and a characterful face
- Are building a collection of villain or antagonist busts
- Need visual inspiration for a fallen general, dark warlord, or broken champion in their campaign
- Paint competitively or for showcase and want a centrepiece with genuine presence
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing regiment to an abandoned fortress on the edge of the wastes. At the entrance, a carved stone bust — unmistakably the Overseer — has been left facing the gate, as if watching for them. Inside, the soldiers are not dead. They're waiting. And they say he told them the adventurers would come.
Details
This is a display bust, scaled and designed for painting projects and shelf display rather than standard tabletop use. Printed at high resolution for crisp detail. Supports are removed before despatch; as with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks are possible but easily tidied with a hobby knife or light sanding.
