This set of fallen columns from Novaminis brings the weight of history to your tabletop. Cracked along their shafts, broken at their bases, and tumbled across fractured plinths, these are the remnants of something once grand — a forum, a crypt entrance, a cultist's sanctum. The sculpting captures the rough texture of weathered stone with convincing cracks and stress fractures across each column face, while the flat-cut break points ground the debris convincingly on the board. Some columns still stand — partially — lending vertical interest to the scatter arrangement, while toppled sections create natural cover and movement obstacles your players will immediately start arguing over.
This is Variation 01 of the Fallen Columns range from Novaminis. The set includes multiple column pieces in varying states of collapse: standing stump sections, fallen shafts, and scattered base fragments — giving you enough to dress a full encounter space or anchor a single atmospheric centrepiece. Whether you're staging a fight in the overgrown ruins of a lost city or dressing the antechamber of a lich's lair, this scatter set does the heavy lifting. Equally at home on a painted display board or in the thick of a session.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want to transform a flat battle map into a ruin-strewn encounter zone with real vertical presence
- Need scatter terrain that doubles as tactical cover for fighters and rogues to duck behind
- Are building a ruined temple, abandoned forum, or crumbled dungeon entrance for their campaign
- Collect and paint display-quality terrain pieces to complement their miniature collection
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the collapsed nave of the Sunken Choir — three columns still upright, four on their sides, and the rogue has already claimed the shadowed gap between two fallen shafts. Then the floor shifts, and something beneath the rubble exhales.
Scaled to 32mm. If you need a different scale, get in touch and we'll see what we can do. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Pieces arrive ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box with no prep needed. As with all hand-finished pieces, minor surface marks are possible; these are easily tidied up before painting.
