Description
It drifts from the darkness without a sound — ten eyestalks sweeping the chamber, the great central eye narrowing as it finds you, and every adventurer in the party knows, with cold certainty, that it has already decided your fate.
- ✔ Multi-miniature bundle — multiple variations in one order
- ✔ 32mm scale resin, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ All pieces supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Great value for building out encounter groups or display collections
The Beholder is one of the most iconic and feared aberrations in all of D&D — a floating sphere of paranoia, arcane malice, and devastatingly precise magical firepower. No two are ever quite alike, which is exactly why this bundle gives you both sculpts from Novaminis' Eye Tyrant range. Pose 01 is a raw, fleshy terror: organic tentacle-like eyestalks writhing from the crown of a spined, gaping body, its central eye wide and unblinking, rows of jagged teeth caught mid-snarl. Pose 02 shifts the tone toward something more armoured and battle-scarred — plated, ridged flesh covering the body, the eyestalks more angular and segmented, giving this variant the feel of a Beholder that has survived centuries of paranoid isolation and emerged harder for it. Together they make a compelling pair — for a lair with multiple guardians, for a Hive Mother and her spawn, or simply for the collector who wants the full range on the shelf.
Both sculpts are rendered in extraordinary detail: the texture of the skin, the individual teeth, the fleshy folds around each eye socket — all carry that Novaminis hallmark of character-forward design that holds up under paint and scrutiny alike. Equally at home on a dungeon battle map or a display shelf, these are centrepiece miniatures that will make your players genuinely uncomfortable in the best possible way.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Need a boss-level aberration to anchor an Underdark campaign arc
- Want two distinct Beholder variants to represent different encounters or lair guardians
- Are building a painted display collection of classic D&D monsters
- Run games where the party has earned something truly terrifying
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the flooded lower vaults expecting a simple retrieval — but the chest is already open, the contents gone, and hovering above the empty pedestal are two Beholders, eyestalks locked in silent communion. They turn in unison. They have been waiting. The first one speaks in a voice like grinding stone: "You were sent by the other one, weren't you."
This bundle includes both Beholder 01 and Beholder 02 from the Novaminis Eye Tyrant range, offering a saving over purchasing each separately. Both miniatures are scaled to 32mm and arrive ready to prime and paint. The sculpts are printed to a high standard of detail; as with all hand-finished pieces, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
