Experiment Alpha is everything a deranged arcanist's creation should be: massive, headless, and absolutely furious. The sculpt captures the creature mid-lunge in a wide, aggressive stance — one enormous chain-wrapped arm outstretched with grasping claws, the other rearing back with a clenched fist ready to smash anything in reach. Heavy chains loop around its limbs like binding restraints that barely held, bolts and rivets studding its patchwork leather-and-flesh torso, stitched together along a jagged central seam that runs the full length of its chest. Two blunt pipe-like protrusions rise from where a head should be, giving it a distinctly mechanical, Frankenstein-via-the-arcane-forge quality that paints tells who can highlight metal, leather, and chain will find this sculpt deeply rewarding.

The sheer dynamic energy of the pose — low centre of gravity, wide legs braced for impact — makes this construct feel like it has just burst through a reinforced door. Whether you're reaching for the ochre and rust palette of an iron golem or the pallid stretched skin of a flesh-bound abomination, Experiment Alpha reads immediately as a creature built rather than born, and a dangerous one at that.

This is a multipart miniature, giving you the option to choose between a plain base or no base at all — whether you prefer to use your own scenic basing or drop it straight onto a custom display, the choice is yours.

Well suited for adventurers who:

• Need a construct or mad-science creature as a mid-tier encounter threat
• Are running a campaign with themes of artifice, forbidden experiments, or arcane horror
• Want a centrepiece model that commands the table from the moment it hits the mat
• Love painting layered textures — chain links, riveted leather, stitched flesh, and exposed metal all on one sculpt
• Want a display piece with real visual weight and a dynamic, story-telling silhouette

Encounter Hook

The party was hired to retrieve research notes from an abandoned arcanist's tower. They find the notes easily enough — pinned beneath the fist of something that used to be the arcanist's greatest achievement. The chains that once restrained it are still dangling from its wrists. It has been waiting in the dark for three weeks. It is not pleased to have visitors.
