Description

He has read every forbidden page, bargained with powers older than kingdoms, and arrived at your players' doorstep with a grimoire and absolutely no intention of negotiating.

  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Vaelric is the kind of villain who doesn't need to raise his voice. He stands robed in heavy, ornate vestments — an intricately embossed chest panel running the length of his torso, a skull-clasped belt cinching chains about his waist — and regards the world with the calm contempt of someone who has already calculated every possible outcome. His deep hood frames a lined, imperious face: cold eyes, set jaw, the expression of a man who finds mercy conceptually interesting but personally irrelevant.

In his left hand he holds a tall staff topped with an elaborate cross-finial and a central orb — the kind of implement that doesn't just channel magic but makes a statement about it. In his right, an open tome is held out like an accusation, pages splayed mid-reading. The sculpt by Primal Collectibles captures the stillness of a caster who knows he holds every advantage — no dramatic flourish needed, only the quiet authority of someone who has already won.

The decorative base adds a final layer of character: scattered rubble and debris, the kind of terrain that accumulates wherever Vaelric has been — whether that's a razed city quarter or an arcane laboratory that ran out of willing test subjects.

This is a multipart miniature. The decorative scenic base is a separate component, and the listing includes both supported and unsupported files as well as a 75mm variant for those who want a larger display piece. Variants are available with a decorative base, plain base, or no base — choose the option that suits your project.

  • A campaign-ending BBEG whose true scheme the party has only just begun to unravel
  • A morally grey mentor figure whose motivations remain genuinely ambiguous until Act Three
  • The centerpiece of a painted display diorama — dark robes, glowing tome, dramatic lighting
  • An NPC contact who has information the party desperately needs, at a price they'll regret paying

Encounter Hook

The party traces a string of village disappearances to an abandoned tower on the moorland edge. Inside, they find no monsters — only Vaelric, seated at a stone desk, calmly finishing a sentence in his tome before acknowledging them. He already knows who sent them. He already knows what they want. He turns a page and asks, with genuine curiosity, whether they'd like to make a deal before this becomes unpleasant for everyone.
