The Ettin Savage Magi is no mere brute. Where most ettins argue with themselves into paralysis, this one has bent that dual-minded chaos into something far more dangerous: a crude but potent shamanic power, channelled through a towering staff crowned with a horned ram skull. Antler tines sprout from a wrapped headdress that struggles to contain two bickering but battle-hardened heads, while layers of scale-textured hide armour, bone bead necklaces, and tattered wrappings speak to a lifetime of wilderness survival and inter-tribal dominance. One massive hand grips a bone dagger — a backup plan that weighs as much as most weapons a human could lift.
This sculpt captures the Ettin mid-stride, staff thrust aloft in what could be a war-call, a ritual invocation, or simply an argument with itself that got out of hand. The textural detail across the layered hide skirts, wrapped greaves, and the gnarled staff shaft rewards careful painting — this is a miniature that holds its own both on the battlefield and on the display shelf.
Well-suited for adventurers who:
- Need a fearsome shaman or witch-doctor boss for a giant-kin or wilderness encounter
- Are building a tribal warband in need of a spiritual leader with genuine menace
- Want a two-headed creature that doubles as an NPC with distinct personalities to roleplay
- Collect character-rich fantasy miniatures for display as well as gaming
Encounter Hook:
The village shamans warned of a two-headed oracle who speaks prophecy in two voices simultaneously — one rasping threats, one murmuring rites. The party finds it standing over the body of the last scout, staff raised toward a moonlit sky, both mouths still arguing about what the omen means.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces — the base complements the sculpt and some poses interact with it, so we recommend attaching them with a small amount of super glue. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming. Minor support marks are possible given the complexity of the sculpt; these are easily cleaned up before painting.
