Ettins occupy a chaotic space in the monster manual that few creatures match: enormous enough to threaten a whole party, yet undone by their own bickering natures. This is pose 01 of the Ettin Ravager range from Novaminis, and it captures that savage duality brilliantly. One head sneers with wild-eyed aggression, the other grins with a different, perhaps worse, kind of menace. In one fist, a massive spiked morningstar — the kind that ends arguments quickly. In the other, a crude cleaver blade that suggests this creature has done this before. The body is armoured in a patchwork of riveted plate, chainmail, spiked pauldrons, and skull trophies, all conveying a brute who has survived enough battles to start collecting souvenirs.
The sculpt rewards painters: the layered armour, chain kilt, spiked greaves, and contrasting facial expressions on each head give you a wealth of detail to work with. Details
Printed at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base arrives unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin work, minor surface marks are occasionally possible and can be cleaned up easily. Each piece is fully cured and ready to prime.
