Description

When the treeline shook and two sets of eyes peered out from the dark, the party realised too late that the bellowing they'd heard wasn't thunder — it was an ettin, and it was already swinging.

This large-scale Ettin Beast Roar sculpt is a bruiser built for the battlefield. One head screams open-mouthed in a savage roar, baring rows of vicious teeth; the second head cranes to the side, locked in a permanent snarl. The body is massively proportioned — barrel-chested and thick-limbed — with wraps of rough leather across the forearms and a woven fabric loincloth cinched by a broad studded belt with a central boss. The detail on the musculature is exceptional, with every tendon and scar carved with care.

The weapon is the centrepiece: a heavy spiked flail on a thick chain, swung low and forward as though mid-strike. The spiked ball is large, brutal, and unmistakably dangerous. The chain links are clearly defined and printed with impressive crispness at this scale. This is a miniature that reads as a threat from across the table.

Marked as Large size, this ettin towers over standard 32mm infantry. A scale reference die is visible in the render, confirming how dramatically this piece dominates the board. The sculpt is pre-supported, and the level of detail across every surface — from the spiked knuckle protrusions on the back to the individual toes — rewards careful painting.

This miniature is a great choice for adventurers who:

  • Need a large-size ettin for D&D 5e encounters straight from the Monster Manual
  • Want a dramatic centrepiece creature for a wilderness or mountain ambush
  • Are building out a giant-kin encounter group with varied sculpts
  • Love a challenging and rewarding painting project with rich surface detail
  • Display painted monsters alongside their adventuring party collections

Encounter Hook: The merchant caravan was three days from Ironveil when the first wagon was overturned. By the time the party reached the scene, only the ettin remained — standing in the road, flail dragging through the mud, both heads arguing loudly about which direction to go next. The party has perhaps thirty seconds before it notices them.
