Ettercap 05 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios
Description
It doesn't spin webs to catch flies — it spins them to catch adventurers, and it's very, very good at it.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Ettercap is one of D&D's most unsettling creatures: not monstrous in the way a dragon is monstrous, but wrong in a way that's harder to shake. This sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio captures that quality brilliantly. The body is swollen and bloated, hunched forward on powerful digitigrade legs tipped with hooked, talon-like claws. A second pair of limbs — scythe-curved and wickedly long — extends from the torso, while the insectoid face, ringed with multiple eyes and bristling with fang-like mandibles, is fixed in a permanent, hungry stare. Every surface reads as taut, stretched, predatory. This is pose 05 of the Ettercap range, caught mid-stalk — weight shifting forward, claws ready.
Whether you're running a web-choked ruin in the Underdark, a Drow-adjacent forest ambush, or a dungeon crawl where the next corridor smells faintly of silk and rot, this miniature puts the right mood on the table instantly. It's equally at home on a display shelf, where those curved scythes and compound eyes reward a close, careful paint job.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a specific, characterful Ettercap for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
- Are building Underdark or forest ambush encounters with visual impact
- Enjoy painting aberrant, chitinous creatures with complex texture work
- Want a display piece that captures genuine creature horror at 32mm scale
Encounter Hook:
The party finds the ranger's scouting trail three days cold — the rope bridge she marked on the map now hangs in thick silk ribbons, and from somewhere below the gorge comes the slow, rhythmic click of something counting its limbs. It knows they're here. It has been waiting since the ranger arrived.
Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — base comes unattached and can be secured with a small amount of glue. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or usable straight from the box. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all high-detail resin work, minor marks may occasionally remain and are easily tidied up.
