Vurimandi is no ordinary frost giant warlord. This is a ruler entombed — a sovereign of the frozen wastes whose power was so great that even imprisonment couldn't diminish his authority. The sculpt captures him flanked by rune-carved standing stones draped in heavy chains, one gauntleted hand resting on the pommel of a massive sword whilst the other clasps before a long braided beard. His pauldrons bristle with blades, his layered armour bears intricate knotwork and medallion detailing, and every element of the base — from the Celtic-carved pillars to the scattered rubble and coiled chain links — tells a story of a king who was sealed away rather than slain. This is a miniature that earns its place at the head of the table.

Whether you're running a frost giant stronghold arc, a mythic Norse-flavoured campaign, or simply want a display piece that commands a shelf, Vurimandi delivers the gravitas the encounter demands. The full scenic base integrates seamlessly with the figure, the sword rising beside him like a monument, and the weathered stonework behind gives the whole piece the feel of an ancient, terrible discovery.

A great fit for adventurers who:

  • Need a formidable BBEG or mid-campaign boss for a giant-centric arc
  • Are running icy wilderness, Norse-inspired, or ancient ruins campaigns
  • Want a display-worthy centrepiece that doubles as a gaming piece
  • Collect large-scale character miniatures with deep sculpted detail
  • Are building an encounter around a once-powerful king, newly awakened

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a relic sealed within the Greystone Vault — but when they descend into its lowest chamber, they find the vault was not built to keep treasure in. The chains are broken from the inside, and at the far end of the hall, Vurimandi stands, sword in hand, having waited three hundred years for someone to open the door.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The figure and scenic base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with superglue — the two elements interact closely, so displaying them together is strongly recommended. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all hand-finished resin pieces, minor marks may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before priming. Arrives fully cured and ready for paint or display straight from the box.
