Description
Where the oldest trees grow twisted and aware, Treneal watches — a primordial guardian of the deep forest whose patience has long since curdled into something far more dangerous.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This bust captures Treneal in extraordinary detail: a hulking sylvan form crowned with branching antlers threaded through with leaves and feathers, his chest wrapped in a thick cloak of layered bark-fibre, and a skull-like face half-hidden beneath the overgrowth that has become his visage. One arm reaches forward, fingers splayed like root tips seeking earth, while a corded rope of vine and cob hangs at his chest. The base erupts from shattered, weathered timber — as though Treneal himself is rising from the ruin of a felled ancient. Every surface rewards close inspection: layered bark texture, organic feathering, gnarled wood grain across the plinth. This is a painter's canvas as much as a display piece.
Whether you use him as a fearsome antagonist in a Feywild campaign, a corrupted treant lording over a blighted forest, or simply a centrepiece on the painting desk, Treneal commands attention from every angle. The rear view reveals a magnificent feathered mantle that speaks to something between druid, warchief, and force of nature — a creature that defies easy classification and demands a story to match.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Want a large-scale display bust with exceptional surface detail for advanced painting techniques
- Are building a Feywild or forest-themed villain roster
- Need a memorable corrupted treant, ancient spirit, or archfey patron for their campaign
- Collect fantasy busts as display pieces and shelf centrepieces
- Are seeking a showcase project to push their highlighting, bark texturing, and OSL skills
Encounter Hook:
The party follows the trail of missing loggers deep into the Thornwood, where the trees grow so dense that noon looks like dusk. At the heart of a clearing ringed by dead oaks, they find the loggers — rooted to the earth up to their waists, still alive, whispering apologies to the bark. Then the clearing breathes. Treneal rises from the treeline, skull-faced and unhurried, and speaks: "They came to take. Now they stay to give." The party has three rounds to choose diplomacy, defiance, or flight before the roots begin to move again.
