Description

The tome rests open on its spiralled pedestal, its pages blank to all but those who speak the correct cantrip — and the party's wizard is already reaching for it.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

Every wizard's tower, temple archive, or lich's sanctum deserves a focal point, and this Enchanted Book Pedestal delivers exactly that. The sculpt features a thick, open grimoire resting on an elegantly twisted column, rising from an octagonal plinth decorated with scrolling organic detail. It's the kind of prop that immediately tells your players this room matters — whether the book holds a ritual to be interrupted, a map to the next dungeon level, or a trap waiting to be triggered by an overeager Arcana check.

Details

At 28mm scale, the pedestal sits neatly alongside standard miniatures without dominating the table. Two variants are available in this listing: one with a detailed sculpted base attached as a single piece, and one with a plainer base that arrives unattached for easy gluing — giving you flexibility for how you want to stage the scene.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Are building arcane library, wizard tower, or temple encounter rooms
  • Want a narrative centrepiece prop that gives players something to interact with
  • Are crafting a diorama or display shelf featuring a magic-user's study
  • Love scatter terrain that doubles as a genuine story beat

Encounter Hook:
The party pushes open the doors to the archmage's inner sanctum. At the room's centre, a luminous tome sits open on a tall spiralled pedestal — its pages turning slowly on their own. The Detect Magic cantrip lights the whole stand up like a beacon, and the rogue is already calculating whether they can grab the book and run before whatever is guarding it notices them.

This piece is supplied unpainted and ready to prime. It is scaled to 28mm. The single-piece variant comes with the base already attached. The detached-base variant arrives in two parts for easy assembly with a small amount of glue. As with all hand-finished prints, minor surface variations may occasionally be present — these are straightforward to tidy up before painting.
