Emgus the Holy (Dwarf Cleric) by The Witchguild

When the tunnel collapsed and the torches went out, it was the dwarf who held up the sacred tome and called down light from a god that hadn't forgotten them yet.

Emgus the Holy is a dwarf cleric sculpted with unmistakable authority — broad-shouldered, deep-bearded, and mid-battle. His right arm thrusts a sun-emblazoned scripture aloft as though invoking divine wrath, while his left hand grips a second war hammer etched with starburst runes. Every inch of his armour is layered with dwarven craft: scale-worked pauldrons, a billowing cloak, riveted plate and an ornately carved greathelm. He stands on a circular dais decorated with knotwork friezes, the kind of base that looks equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf.
Whether you're building a devout war cleric for your next campaign, casting a grizzled high priest as a patron NPC, or simply adding a characterful dwarven centrepiece to your collection, Emgus brings real presence to whatever scene he occupies. The sculpt rewards careful painting — the beard, scripture cover, and hammer faces each offer their own focal points — but looks equally compelling straight from the box.
Well-suited to adventurers who:
- Want a dwarf cleric player character with a distinct visual identity
- Need a High Priest, war-god champion, or divine emissary NPC
- Are running a dwarven hold, mountain fortress, or clerical order arc
- Enjoy display-scale painting projects with rich surface detail
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen relic from a rival clan's vault. When they arrive, they find Emgus already there — hammers in hand, scripture raised, standing over three unconscious guards. He turns, meets their eyes, and says only: "The Allfather sent me first. You're late."
Emgus the Holy is printed at 32mm scale for standard tabletop use. The display-scale version fits a 4×4 base. The base is supplied detached and attaches easily with a small amount of super glue. Some models arrive in multiple pieces for ease of printing — these assemble simply with super glue. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up.
