Description
Behind every adventuring party's supply run is someone who knows exactly where every crate, pouch, and barrel in the shop belongs — and Elmina Barthen is not someone you keep waiting.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Elmina Barthen is sculpted with the confident bearing of a woman who has run her shop for decades and has absolutely no patience for adventurers who browse without buying. She stands with both hands on her hips, chin lifted, and a look on her face that says she's already clocked how much coin you have in your pouch. Her hair is swept neatly back, and she wears a practical work apron over a simple tunic — the dress of someone who takes pride in their trade and keeps their workspace spotless.
The sculpt captures a brilliantly expressive face — slightly narrowed eyes and a composed, assessing expression that reads as warm or wary depending on how your party has been behaving. This is a miniature that will make your players immediately understand they are being evaluated, which is exactly the energy a memorable shopkeeper NPC needs.
Whether she appears in a frontier trading post, a bustling city market, or as a key contact in a wider urban intrigue campaign, Elmina is the kind of NPC who turns a single shopping trip into a scene the whole table remembers.
Suits adventurers who:
- Run urban campaigns with richly realised merchant districts and NPC depth
- Want a shopkeeper or proprietor miniature with genuine personality and presence
- Are running published adventures that feature named trader or guild contact NPCs
- Collect civilian and townsfolk miniatures for immersive settlement encounters
- Display well-sculpted character minis as part of a narrative diorama
Encounter Hook: The party arrives in town to resupply ahead of a dangerous expedition. Elmina Barthen meets them at the counter, arms folded, already aware of their reputation. She'll sell them what they need — but first she has a job she'd like them to consider. A recent delivery went missing between the warehouse and the shop. Two of her staff haven't reported in. She suspects the local thieves' guild. She does not suspect the thieves' guild is the least of anyone's problems.
Details
Elmina Barthen is a 32mm scale miniature supplied unpainted and unassembled where applicable. She is designed for use with D&D 5e, Pathfinder, and compatible tabletop roleplaying systems, and works equally well as a gaming piece or a display model.
