Description

Somewhere beneath the city, the smell of ozone and scorched copper drifts through the vents — and those who know what it means have already started running.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

This character bust from The Witchguild captures a gnome electromancer mid-thought, the kind of wiry, whiskered genius who's equally likely to solve your problem and accidentally destroy your ceiling in the process. He wears a riveted metal helm fitted with a monocular lens — part navigational instrument, part arcane focusing device — and his layered travelling coat speaks to a lifetime of expeditions into places the sensible don't go. Rising above him, a jagged arc of lightning energy is frozen mid-crackle, sculpted with enough weight and energy to suggest it's barely under control.

As a display bust, every texture rewards close attention: the worn leather straps, the stitching on his collar, the character lines etched into his broad, focused face. This isn't a miniature built for the battlefield — it's built for the shelf, the painting desk, and the campaign table where a DM wants to show their players exactly who they're dealing with.

Well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Are looking for a detailed painting project with strong light-sourcing potential from the lightning effect
  • Want a display piece that doubles as vivid NPC inspiration for an artificer, inventor, or arcane scholar
  • Are building a themed collection of fantasy character busts
  • Need a visual reference for a gnome Wizard or Artificer player character

Encounter Hook:
The party receives a summons — not a letter, but a bolt of ball lightning that singes the tavern table and resolves into a set of coordinates. When they arrive at the workshop beneath the Coppergate district, the gnome at the bench doesn't look up. "You're twelve minutes late," he says, adjusting his lens. "The artefact has already begun its second pulse cycle. Sit down and try not to touch anything conductive."
