Description

It wore the symbols of a dozen faiths across its chest — not as devotion, but as trophies of every congregation it had consumed.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Absolver is no simple demon. Part aberration, part theological horror, this eldritch beast from DM Stash's Baldurian Inquisition range carries the unsettling suggestion of corrupted doctrine — cross-adorned talismans hang from a tattered sash wrapped around its scaled torso, while curved horns crown a skull-faced maw lined with recurved fangs. Its hunched, predatory stance conveys something worse than mindless aggression: intention. Every ridge of overlapping scale, every matted tuft of fur between armoured plates, and the long segmented tail that drags behind it speak to a creature that has spent centuries becoming exactly this terrifying.

Whether you use it as a BBEG pulling the strings behind a corrupted inquisition, a summoned horror that has outgrown its summoner, or a wandering apex predator from the Underdark's deepest reaches, The Absolver commands the table the moment it hits the battlemat. Equally at home as a centrepiece of a display shelf, the sculpt rewards painters with extraordinary textural variety — scales, fur, bone, fabric, and religious metalwork all on one miniature.

A fine match for adventurers who:

  • Need a BBEG that carries genuine narrative weight, not just a high CR stat block
  • Are running campaigns involving corrupted religious orders, forbidden summonings, or inquisitorial conspiracies
  • Want a showcase painting project with layered textures across scales, fur, and ceremonial detail
  • Collect display-quality pieces from independent fantasy sculptors

Encounter Hook:
The party's investigation into the Baldurian Inquisition leads them to a sealed undercroft beneath the cathedral. The door is warm to the touch. Inside, surrounded by the remains of the inquisitors who summoned it, The Absolver crouches in the candlelight — the religious icons they bound it with now hanging from its chest like a grotesque trophy belt. It turns slowly. It has been waiting.
