Edith of Eldenwood is the sort of NPC who makes a campaign feel lived-in. Sculpted by Great Folks — a range dedicated to common people with uncommon tales — she stands in a layered travelling dress and broad cape, cradling a young kid goat against her chest. Her expression is sly and warm in equal measure, the face of someone who knows far more about what's happening in the forest than she's letting on. Whether she's a beloved village elder, a druid in plain clothes, or the lynchpin of your next mystery, Edith brings an immediate sense of place and character to the table.
The sculpt captures remarkable warmth and detail — from the ruffled hem of her dress to the loose curls pinned at her nape, and the wide-eyed goat peering out from the crook of her arm. She reads equally well as a friendly face in a rural settlement or a quietly unsettling figure at the heart of something strange.
A fine addition for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable quest-giver, village elder, or mysterious local
- Are running a folk horror, rural mystery, or low-magic campaign
- Want a beautifully characterful piece for their display shelf
- Play druids, rangers, or nature-aligned characters looking for a distinctive sculpt
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in Eldenwood to find the harvest festival cancelled and half the livestock missing. Edith is at the green when they ride in — she greets them warmly, presses fresh bread into their hands, and mentions, almost as an afterthought, that the old standing stones at the forest's edge have been humming again. She doesn't seem frightened. That's the part that worries the Druid.
