Eadric is a swineherd — a working man of the land with rough-spun clothes, worn boots, and the kind of quiet dignity that comes from a life spent outdoors. His twisted wooden staff is practical rather than arcane, and the wriggling pig tucked under his arm suggests he's in the middle of something far more pressing than whatever trouble the party has brought to his doorstep. His bearded, weathered face carries the weight of a man who knows the village gossip, the smuggler's trail through the eastern wood, and exactly whose cattle went missing last harvest.
Sculpted with the grounded realism of the Great Grimoire Great Folks range — common people, uncommon tales — Eadric is the kind of NPC that makes a village feel lived-in. Whether he's a reluctant informant, a surprisingly capable guide, or simply the first face the party sees when they arrive in a new settlement, he brings immediate life to any scene. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf alongside other folk of the realm.
For adventurers who:
- Want grounded, believable NPCs to populate villages, farms, and market towns
- Need a quest-giver who doesn't look like a quest-giver
- Are building a living world where not everyone carries a sword
- Love painting character-rich sculpts with texture and personality
- Collect commoner and townsfolk miniatures for roleplay immersion
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in Millhaven to find the village on edge — three pigs stolen in as many nights, and old Eadric swearing blind it's no fox. He's found tracks near the mill that don't belong to any animal he knows, and he'll talk — but only if someone helps him get his last sow back from wherever she's wandered. It's a simple enough errand. It always starts that way.
Details
Eadric is supplied at 32mm scale on a round base. The miniature arrives with supports removed and is ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box as an unpainted grey miniature. Some minor clean-up may be needed as part of the normal printing process — this is easily managed with a hobby knife or fine sandpaper.
