Description

They say Borin Kegwarden has never lost a drinking contest, never watered down a keg, and never — not once — explained why there is always a frog on his head.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Equal parts tavern legend and walking hazard, Borin "Frogcap" Kegwarden is a dwarven brewmaster of considerable reputation and questionable judgement. The sculpt captures him mid-celebration: both meaty fists raised, a full wooden tankard aloft in one hand and a frothing mug clutched in the other, his long braided beard hanging in neat plaits down his broad chest. His expression is that of a dwarf who has already had several and considers this a personal achievement. Perched atop his bald head — because of course — is a small, contented frog. Whether it is a pet, a familiar, or simply a recurring consequence of sleeping near the pond, no one has dared ask.

This is a character with instant story baked into every detail: the thick leather apron, the belt pouch, the sturdy boots, the sheer confidence of a man who considers two tankards at once to be the bare minimum. Whether you need a beloved tavern keeper, a roaring festival host, or a surprisingly capable brawler who fights exclusively with full drinks, Borin earns his place at any table.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable tavern NPC, innkeeper, or brewmaster for their campaign
  • Want a charismatic dwarf player character — Barbarian, Fighter, or Bard perhaps
  • Are running a festival, feast, or celebration encounter and need the right energy
  • Collect characterful dwarven sculpts for display alongside their gaming collection

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives in the mining town of Koppervast just as the annual Deepstone Ale Festival descends into chaos — someone has poisoned the competition entries, and Borin Kegwarden, the reigning three-time champion, is the most obvious suspect. He greets the adventurers with a mug in each hand, absolutely furious, and a frog on his head that somehow seems equally aggrieved.

Details

Borin is supplied at 32mm scale and is well suited to both tabletop gaming and display collecting. He is available with or without a plain black base — the base is supplied unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Borin arrives ready for priming and painting, or use him straight from the box if you prefer your NPCs au naturel. Minor imperfections from the printing process are possible; any remaining support marks are easily tidied up.
