Description

The low brass roar of a sousaphone echoes off dungeon walls — and somehow, against all odds, the armoured dwarf playing it is the most dangerous thing in the room.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is a dwarf bard unlike any you've fielded before. Clad in segmented plate armour and a sweeping cape, this stout warrior-musician is almost entirely obscured by the enormous sousaphone coiled around his body — its wide bell towering above him and its valves clutched in gauntleted hands. There's a wonderful absurdity to the sculpt that never tips into parody: the armour is detailed and serious, the cape mid-billow, the stance resolute. He means business. The music is the business.

At 32mm scale, the contrast between the compact dwarven frame and the oversized brass instrument makes for a genuinely eye-catching centrepiece — whether on the battlefield grid or a display shelf. The sculpt captures the particular energy of a College of Valour or College of Swords bard who has decided that subtlety is someone else's problem.

A great fit for adventurers who:

  • Play dwarf bards and want a mini that actually reflects their chaotic energy
  • Need a memorable travelling musician NPC for a city, festival, or tavern encounter
  • Want a display piece that'll raise eyebrows and questions in equal measure
  • Are building a party or ensemble and need the wildcard character represented

Encounter Hook:
The party is trying to move quietly through the occupied market district when a familiar figure rounds the corner — it's the armoured dwarf bard they paid to cause a distraction three blocks away. He's still playing. The tuba is extremely audible. Every guard in earshot is now looking in this direction. He gives the party a thumbs up.

Details

This miniature is supplied at 32mm scale, mounted on a flat base, and arrives as a single piece ready for priming and painting. As with all hand-finished resin prints, minor surface marks may occasionally occur — any small imperfections are easily addressed before painting.
