Korgrin Bloodstone is no typical dwarven spellcaster. Where others reach for arcane tomes or divine favour, Korgrin reaches inward — drawing on the raw, living power of blood itself. Sculpted mid-cast, this fledgling haemomancer crouches with fierce concentration, a blade pressed to his own palm while crimson magic erupts in jagged crystalline tendrils from the base at his feet. His heavy coat — layered over chainmail and adorned with alchemical vials along the belt — speaks to a figure caught between the disciplines of scholar and something far darker. A mohawked topknot and braided beard complete a silhouette that is unmistakably dwarven, yet utterly unlike any dwarf at your table right now.
The sculpt rewards painters willing to lean into contrast: the pale coat and warm skin tones against deep crimson blood magic effects make this a genuinely striking display piece. The decorative base — engraved with ritual markings and the pooling blood-magic effect — is integral to the composition and sells the scene in full. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf, Korgrin works as a player character, a morally ambiguous NPC, or the first sign that your campaign's villain has been experimenting with something they really shouldn't have.
Suits adventurers who:
- Are playing a blood magic-themed sorcerer, wizard, or homebrew haemomancer class
- Need a dwarven spellcaster who reads as dangerous rather than scholarly
- Want a characterful NPC — an underground mage, a disgraced healer, or a cult's reluctant prodigy
- Are collectors drawn to dynamic, story-rich sculpts with standout base details
Encounter Hook:
The party finds Korgrin hunched over a fallen guard in the Wandering Mage's lower vaults — not attacking, but siphoning. He looks up slowly, crimson energy still threading between his fingers, and says only: "I'm learning. You can leave, or you can be useful."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and decorative base are separate pieces, intended to be attached with superglue — the base is sculpted to interact directly with the figure and the two work best displayed together. Each miniature is produced to order and quality checked before dispatch; minor support marks may occasionally be present on less visible surfaces and are easily tidied up before priming.
