Description

From the clockwork planes of Mechanus it marches — bolted, coiled, and absolutely furious — two broad-bladed swords raised in mechanical wrath.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 04 of our Modron Duodrone range by Novaminis. Duodrones are the second tier of Modron hierarchy: two-faced constructs built for simple commands and martial enforcement. This sculpt captures one mid-rampage — its riveted rectangular torso split between a snarling, wide-mouthed face on the front panel and geometric engravings on the body below. The spring-jointed neck connects to a square lower torso, and four spindly limbs end in blocky, gripping feet and articulated hands clutching a pair of short swords crossed above its head. Every bolt, hinge, and mechanical joint is crisply realised, making this as engaging a piece on a display shelf as it is across the table from a nervous adventuring party.

Modrons make for wonderfully unsettling encounters — not because they are malicious, but because they follow orders with absolute, unblinking precision. Whether your Duodrone is a lawful guardian gone rogue, a remnant of a collapsed Mechanus outpost, or a construct repurposed by an ambitious artificer, this sculpt has the character to carry the scene.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Planescape, Spelljammer, or planar-adjacent D&D 5e campaigns
  • Need a distinctive Construct encounter mini that reads clearly at the table
  • Collect characterful monsters from the deeper corners of the Monster Manual
  • Enjoy painting mechanical and geometric detail work
  • Want a display piece with genuine personality — that face is not forgettable

Encounter Hook:
The players enter the collapsed customs hall of a long-abandoned Harmonium outpost. At the far end, half-buried beneath fallen stone, a Duodrone's head snaps upright — both swords rising from the rubble in slow, grinding arcs. It has been waiting for a traveller without the correct planar transit seal for eighty-three years. It has all the time in the multiverse.

Details
