This dryad carries the wildness of the deep forest in every detail. Her longbow is drawn high and taut, the upper limb reaching well above her head in a full-extension draw that speaks of a being who has hunted these woods for centuries. One leg rises at the knee — a fluid, predatory stillness — as though she has halted mid-stalk to loose a shot before vanishing back into the canopy.
Her clothing is the forest itself: a layered wrap of large sculpted leaves forms her lower garment, while a carapace of bark or seed-pod shapes covers her torso. Her long, flowing hair weaves with the organic shapes of her silhouette, blurring the boundary between spirit and woodland. Curling root-tendrils trail from the hem of her leaf-skirt, anchoring her visually to the earth even as she moves.
The reverse shows an equally considered composition — overlapping leaf and bark detailing across her back and the full cascade of her hair, with a sculpted star-shaped leaf motif at her hip adding a moment of fine decorative work that rewards painters willing to linger on it.
As a miniature she suits Druids, Rangers, and any fey-blooded character archetype, and serves equally well as an NPC guardian of a sacred grove or a hostile woodland encounter that leaves the party questioning whether the forest is friend or enemy.
Adventurers who will love this miniature:
- DMs running forest ambush encounters or fey-touched wilderness arcs
- Players building a nature-attuned Ranger, Druid, or Fey Wanderer character
- Painters who enjoy layering organic textures — bark, leaves, flowing hair, vine
- Collectors seeking a characterful, expressive fey miniature for a display shelf
Encounter Hook: The party follows the river path into the Verdant Mere when arrows begin falling from the tree-line — no warning, no demand, just the sound of a bowstring and shafts striking the earth at their feet. Finding the dryad means convincing her the loggers they travel with are not her enemies. Fail the Persuasion check and the trees themselves begin to move.
