The Druid Jerboa is one of those miniatures that stops you mid-browse. Part woodland sprite, part ancient shaman, this small creature carries enormous presence. Its body is covered in richly textured fur and bark-like skin, and a cascade of overlapping leaves — oak, broad-leaf, and curling new growth — fans out across its back like a living cloak. Wide, soulful eyes sit beneath a crest of leaves, and a slender gnarled staff is clutched firmly in one hand. A curling, furred tail trails behind it, adding movement and character to the pose.
The sculpt rewards careful painting. The layered leaves on the back offer a wealth of surface for wet-blending autumnal colours — russet, ochre, and deep forest green — while the fur and bark-textured skin suggest a creature that has grown from the woodland itself rather than merely wandering through it. The staff reads clearly even at tabletop scale, and those wide eyes will respond beautifully to careful glazing.
In game terms, this mini works as a beast — a spirit of the wild wood, a diminutive druid NPC with ancient ties to the land, or even a shapeshifted familiar accompanying a PC. It brings an unusual, whimsical energy to any encounter without sacrificing sculptural quality.
This listing includes both a pre-supported and an unsupported version of the file, giving you flexibility in how you approach your print.
- Adventurers running Feywild or deep-forest campaigns who want something beyond the expected
- DMs building a woodland spirit encounter or a druidic grove with unusual inhabitants
- Painters who love detailed organic textures — fur, bark, and layered leaves in a single sculpt
- Collectors drawn to creatures that blur the line between beast and nature magic
Encounter Hook: The party has been tasked with recovering a stolen seedling from the heart of the Thornwood — but when they arrive at the grove's edge, a tiny leaf-cloaked figure blocks the path, staff raised, wide eyes unblinking. It does not attack. It does not flee. It simply waits, as though it already knows why they've come.
