Drow Swashbuckler (Jarlaxle Baenre) by Monster Atlas
Description
He tips his feathered hat with a smile that never quite reaches his one visible eye — and by the time you realise you've been outmanoeuvred, he's already three moves ahead.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Jarlaxle Baenre is one of the most iconic figures in D&D lore: the roguish, charismatic drow mercenary whose allegiance shifts like shadows in the Underdark. This sculpt by Monster Atlas captures him in characteristic form — wide-brimmed hat adorned with a sweeping feather, eye patch over one eye, long travel cloak billowing behind him, and a curved rapier held loosely at his side. His free hand is raised to his chest in that trademark gesture of easy confidence, as if he's mid-negotiation and already winning. Belt daggers and a scabbard complete a silhouette that reads instantly: this is not a man you want across the table from you.
Whether you're running him as the slippery patron of Bregan D'aerthe, a wildcard ally with his own agenda, or a brilliantly dressed recurring antagonist, this miniature carries all the presence the character demands. Equally at home on the gaming table or in a display case, the detail in the cloak folds, hat brim, and weaponry rewards a careful paint job.
Well suited to adventurers who:
- Need a Jarlaxle stand-in for a Menzoberranzan or Underdark campaign arc
- Want a charismatic drow NPC with genuine presence at the table
- Are building a Bregan D'aerthe mercenary faction in their setting
- Play a drow Rogue, Swashbuckler, or Bard as their player character
- Collect iconic D&D characters for display alongside their painted miniatures
Encounter Hook:
The party's contact in Skullport never shows — instead, a drow in an extravagant feathered hat is already seated at their table, pouring their wine, and explaining with great charm exactly how he intercepted their message and why they should hear his proposal before they reach for their weapons.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and base are separate pieces, attached with superglue. Some models interact with their base, so we recommend displaying them together for the best effect. Each miniature is produced to a high standard with fine detail throughout; as with any resin production process, minor marks from support removal may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up before painting.
