Drow Paladin of the Moon's Sanctum (Ilnia Vasrith) by DM Stash

She walked out of the Underdark not as a refugee, but as an emissary — bearing the crescent mark of the Moon's Sanctum and a blade that has never once wavered in its devotion.

Ilnia Vasrith is a drow paladin who defies every assumption her heritage invites. Clad in layered plate armour etched with circular moon motifs, her cape billowing as though caught in a divine wind, she carries herself with the quiet authority of someone who has already made peace with the hard choices ahead. The crescent-topped pommel of her longsword speaks to the Moon's Sanctum — a secretive order of drow who swear oaths not to spider-goddesses or shadow courts, but to the cold clarity of the moon itself. Her expression is unreadable, her posture deliberate: not aggressive, but absolutely ready.
The sculpt captures that tension beautifully. Long silver-streaked hair falls loose behind her, armoured pauldrons and vambraces detailed with interlocking scale-like plates, a chainmail skirt trailing beneath the cloak, and the moon-crescent sword tip resting against the rubble-strewn base. Front and back, every angle rewards the painter — the rear of the sculpt reveals the full flow of the cloak and the intricate braid-and-chain detail at her waist. Whether she's representing a player character, a moral foil to a surface-world party, or a compelling quest-giver with divided loyalties, Ilnia works at the table and looks exceptional on a display shelf.
A fine choice for adventurers who:
- Are playing a drow paladin — Oath of the Ancients, Oath of Devotion, or a homebrew moon-sworn oath all suit her well
- Need a morally complex NPC: an Underdark contact, a rival with a conflicting divine mandate, or a paladin who has turned from her people's darkness
- Want a character whose visual presence communicates her whole backstory at a glance
- Are building an Underdark arc or a drow-focused campaign and need a face for their faction
- Simply want a beautifully sculpted display piece for their collection
Encounter Hook:
The party has spent three sessions being shadowed through the Underdark by someone who never attacks. When she finally steps into the torchlight — sword tip down, crescent armour unmistakable — Ilnia Vasrith tells them she was sent to ensure they reached the Moon's Sanctum alive. She does not explain why the Sanctum wants them there. She does not explain why she is the only one who came.
