Uxas the Reborn is no ordinary monk. This blindfolded drow stands poised mid-stride atop a rubble-strewn base, one knee raised and his weight perfectly balanced — a figure of coiled, deliberate power. Heavy iron chains wrap around both forearms and trail outward, each ending in a crescent-bladed weapon: part manacle, part moon, all menace. His robes are worn and battle-torn, his chest bared, and a chain necklace hangs at his throat — hints of a past that was stripped away and rebuilt into something far more dangerous. The blindfold across his eyes speaks not of blindness but of transcendence, a warrior who has moved beyond sight into something deeper.
As a Drow Lunar Monk, Uxas occupies a fascinating niche at the table: part fallen noble, part ascetic warrior, part instrument of something older than the Underdark's politics. He works equally well as a player character miniature for a Way of the Sun Soul or Astral Self monk, a formidable NPC enforcer with a mysterious code of honour, or a boss encounter for a party delving into the deeper reaches of the world below. The sculpt carries extraordinary surface detail — the chain link texture, the fabric folds of his baggy trousers, the wrap-bound shins and arms — all of which reward a careful painter and read beautifully even unpainted on the table.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Play a drow or dark elf monk and want a miniature that genuinely reflects the character's discipline and lethality
- Need a morally complex NPC — a redeemed killer, a lunar cultist, or a weapons-master with a code
- Are building an Underdark arc and want a distinctive, named-feeling encounter piece
- Collect display miniatures with exceptional sculptural detail
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to retrieve a stolen relic from a drow enclave — but when they arrive, they find the enclave in ruins, and a single survivor standing motionless at its centre. Uxas the Reborn does not speak when they approach. He raises one hand in a gesture of stillness, chains coiling at his sides, and says only: "You are the fourth group sent. The other three did not ask the right question. Ask it." Whatever the party says next will determine whether he becomes their most dangerous guide — or their final obstacle.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and its detailed rubble scatter base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with super glue — the base is sculpted to complement the pose and the two work best together. Arrives ready for priming and painting, or use as-is straight on the table.
