Drow Adventurer (Daran Edernath) by The Toadstool Weaver

Daran Edernath cuts a composed, quietly formidable figure. He stands with one hand rested behind his back — a posture that reads as relaxed but speaks of someone always ready to act. His long coat falls open over a buttoned shirt and a clean leather belt, the silhouette of a drow who operates in polished company as easily as he does in the Underdark. Long hair swept back, pointed ears sharp against his jaw, and a faint expression somewhere between amusement and assessment — this is a character who knows more than he's letting on.
The sculpt captures the duality that makes drow NPCs and player characters so compelling at the table: civilised on the surface, dangerous underneath. Whether you're placing him behind a desk in a merchant's guild, across the table in a tense negotiation scene, or unmasking him as the city's most well-dressed information broker, Daran reads instantly as someone with history, agenda, and agency. He paints up brilliantly as a grey-skinned drow with white or silver hair, though he works equally well as any sharp-featured elf or half-elf of ambiguous allegiance.
This miniature suits adventurers who:
- Need a drow NPC with a civilian silhouette — no armour, no obvious weapons
- Are running urban intrigue, political campaigns, or city-based adventures
- Want a player character miniature for a Rogue, Bard, Warlock, or Ranger
- Appreciate sculpts that reward careful painting on faces and fabric detail
- Love a character who looks like he's been three steps ahead this entire time
Encounter Hook: The party has spent two sessions trying to find the source of the forged trade licences flooding the docks — and tonight, at the harbormaster's gala, a drow in a long coat approaches them with a glass of wine and a knowing smile. He says he can help. He does not say what it will cost.
