Description

He was once a duke of considerable standing — now he commands from the back of a monstrous arachnid horror, his court the lightless tunnels of the deep earth.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Duke Conrad is no mere drider. Where most of his kind are cursed wretches driven to the margins of drow society, Conrad has clawed his way back to power — riding atop a colossal spider mount whose chitin-armoured legs are edged like blades and whose abdomen bears the layered, scale-like plating of something bred for war. He holds his staff with the cold authority of a noble who has never once doubted his right to rule, even as the creature beneath him picks its way over a cavern floor strewn with the skeletal remains of something that got too close. His robes are etched with flowing filigree, his hood drawn back to reveal the sharp, composed features of a man who gave up his lower half and gained an empire.

The sculpt captures every detail of this grim elevation — the serrated legs of the spider mount, the ornate twisted-rope staff, the cracked stone base with scattered bones beneath. Shown here as a digital render, this miniature arrives unpainted and ready for priming, and it rewards a careful hand: the contrast between the noble's refined upper half and the hulking arachnid chassis beneath him is a painter's gift. Equally compelling on a display shelf or dominating a dungeon encounter, Duke Conrad commands attention from any angle.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a BBEG with political depth as well as physical menace
  • Are running an Underdark campaign arc involving drow nobility
  • Want a drider miniature that reads as a genuine figure of authority, not a cursed outcast
  • Are building a display piece that tells a story from every angle

Encounter Hook:
The party has spent three sessions navigating the political web of a drow city — playing factions against each other, trading in favours and secrets — only to discover that every faction ultimately reports to Duke Conrad, who has been watching their progress with something between amusement and hunger. When they are finally brought before him, he is already seated astride his mount in the centre of the audience chamber, staff in hand, eight bladed legs arranged around him like a throne.

Scaled to 32mm. The miniature and its scenic base are supplied as separate pieces and attach securely with super glue — the base features cracked cavern stone and skeletal remains that integrate with the mount's leg positioning, so we recommend attaching them before painting. Supplied unpainted. Minor imperfections from the printing process may occasionally occur; these are easily remedied before priming.
