Description
Once a proud drow warrior, now cursed by Lolth herself — the drider is neither spider nor elf, and belongs to neither world.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This male drider sculpt captures the creature's deeply unsettling duality. The upper body is that of a lean, muscular dark elf — long hair, pointed ears, a commanding gesture raised as if casting or commanding — while the lower half gives way to a bulbous arachnid abdomen mounted on eight curved, blade-like legs. The pose carries real menace: forward-leaning, imperious, and utterly at home in the dark passages of the Underdark. This is a figure that demands attention on the table, whether it's leading a web-strewn ambush or serving as the centrepiece of a Lolth-touched shrine.
In D&D 5e, driders are CR 6 monstrosities — former drow who failed Lolth's trial and were transformed as punishment. They retain their spellcasting abilities and multiattack, making them a genuine threat in any mid-tier campaign. This sculpt carries all of that narrative weight in a single miniature, equally at home as a tabletop encounter piece or a display collector's centrepiece.
A solid choice for adventurers who:
- Run Underdark campaigns or Lolth-themed encounters
- Need a commanding mid-tier boss monster with visual presence
- Collect D&D monstrosities or drow faction miniatures
- Want a characterful display piece as well as a gaming mini
Encounter Hook:
The party is escorted through the Underdark by a drow guide who grows increasingly nervous the deeper they travel. Then, at a junction of tunnels, the guide stops — and bows. From the shadows, eight legs click against the stone. A drider descends from the ceiling, one hand raised, and the guide refuses to meet its eyes. Whatever debt is being collected, the party just became collateral.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to a flat display base. Supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process can occasionally occur — these are easily tidied up before priming. The miniature is fully cured and ready to paint or use straight from the box.
