This is one of the most arresting sculpts Epic Miniatures has produced — a drider who has transcended death itself, now ruling the deep tunnels as a lich lord of terrifying authority. The spider half of the form is armoured with spiked carapace plates and wrapped in heavy chain mail around the abdomen, every leg tipped with a vicious claw. Atop this monstrous chassis, the undead rider rears back with a massive rune-inscribed two-handed sword raised overhead in both hands, mid-swing and utterly committed to the strike.

The lich rider is clad in ornate dark armour with skeletal detailing — skull motifs visible along the legs — and long robes or a cape flowing back behind the figure, conveying both speed and menace. The face is gaunt and angular beneath a helm, with the hollow-eyed look of something that gave up mortality deliberately and without regret. The runic blade is enormous, clearly magical in nature, its flat covered in carved glyphs that reward a careful paint job with washes and edge highlights.

On the gaming table, this sculpt commands Large creature space on a 51mm base and works as a genuinely formidable boss encounter. On the display shelf, it earns its footprint — the combination of the armoured spider body, the chained abdomen, the spiked carapace, and the overhead sword strike creates a silhouette unlike anything else in a collection.
