This is a miniature that commands the table the moment it hits the mat. The Drider Lich Lord rides atop a massive, spike-armoured spider body — eight barbed legs splayed wide across a large base, the abdomen wrapped in heavy chains and studded with wicked spines. Above the arachnid bulk, the lich lord himself rises in necromantic plate, a skull-emblazoned breastplate and angular, bladed pauldrons framing a skeletal, masked face. His left arm is raised, fingers spread in a gesture that speaks of arcane command, while his right arm extends a long-hafted axe — a rune-etched blade crackling with implied power. The sculpt is a multipart build, designed to give painters clean access to both the spider body and the rider.

The detail density here is a painter's reward. The spider body rewards contrast techniques and weathering — textured chitin on the abdomen, individual chain links between armoured sections, and serrated spines that take dry-brushing beautifully. The rider's armour is equally rich: layered plate with fine engraving, a skull motif at the chest, and the rune-carved axe head that practically calls for OSL work. The elongated, spike-crowned helm and hollow-socketed face give the lich a silhouette you'll recognise across the table at six feet.
