Description

She descended from the highest webs of the Underdark long ago — half elven sorcerer, half spider sovereign — and every court in the darkness below answers to her web.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This drider queen is no mere cursed outcast. Sculpted by Galaad Miniatures, she carries herself with the cold authority of a ruler rather than a monster. Her elven upper half is clad in layered scale armour, a spiked crown of chitin and bone rising from her long hair, whilst her free hand curls in the opening gesture of a cantrip — or a curse. The bone staff she raises in her right hand is jagged and deliberate, suggesting a creature who has had centuries to decide exactly how she wants to be seen. Her spider lower half is broad, heavily armoured in overlapping chitinous plates, and posed across a cracked stone base that suggests a throne room floor rather than a dungeon passage. This is a boss encounter sculpt through and through.

From the rear, the textured segmentation of her abdomen is particularly striking — scaled in overlapping layers that catch light and paint alike. The pose works from every angle, making her equally compelling as a centrepiece on the gaming table or a display piece on the shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a drider queen, matriarch, or Underdark ruler for their D&D 5e campaign
  • Want a large, characterful boss miniature with genuine presence at the table
  • Are building a drow faction, spider cult, or subterranean dungeon encounter
  • Paint display pieces and want a sculpt with deep surface texture and strong silhouette
  • Collect Underdark-themed miniatures for their shelf or cabinet

Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to recover a noble's daughter, taken three months ago on the road south. Deep in the ruins beneath the old temple, they find her — unharmed, crowned, and seated at the right hand of the drider queen. She looks at the adventurers with something close to pity, and says only: "You should not have come here."

Details

Printed at 32mm scale. The model and scenic stone base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue will bond them securely. The base is designed to complement the model, so we recommend using it as intended. Supplied unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brushwork or striking as bare resin on the shelf.

Made with care by Mitz & Simz — the cats get final sign-off on everything.
