Description

At the bottom of the Abyss's hierarchy, the dretch endures — foul-tempered, relentless, and always hungry for something weaker than itself.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' dretch range, and it distinguishes itself with a pose full of aggressive momentum — arms flung wide, clawed hands splayed and ready to rake, and that gaping, toothy maw stretched open in a guttural snarl. Where a first encounter with a dretch might feel beneath the party's notice, this sculpt communicates exactly why low-CR fiends are still capable of setting the hairs on the back of your neck on end.

The detail across the body rewards careful painting. Patches of coarse, warty skin break up the otherwise rubbery surface of the creature's torso and limbs, while the hands and feet carry thick, curving claws that curve down to sharp points. The face — broad, flat, and snarling — has that unmistakable quality of something that enjoys causing misery, even if it isn't particularly good at much else. Paint it in blighted purples, bile greens, or the grey-brown of rotting meat, and it will look right at home on any Abyssal battlefield.

This variation (Dretch 02) carries a wider, more open stance than its counterpart, making it a strong visual contrast when fielded alongside other dretch sculpts from the same range — useful if your party is about to wade through a mob of them.

  • Adventurers building out a mob of low-level fiends for demonic encounters
  • Dungeon Masters staging chaotic Abyssal skirmishes with visual variety across the table
  • Painters who enjoy experimenting with putrid, otherworldly colour palettes on creature miniatures
  • Collectors wanting a characterful, expressive fiend on the display shelf

Encounter Hook: The cult's ritual chamber reeks of sulphur. As the party forces the door, a summoning circle still crackles with violet energy — and eight dretches, freshly called from the Abyss, wheel around with splayed claws and hollow, hungry eyes. The summoner is nowhere to be seen.
