Dreadhound by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
It did not crawl through a summoning circle — it tore one open with its bare hands, and the chains meant to bind it only made it angrier.
- ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table
The Dreadhound is a large-scale centrepiece miniature sculpted by Witchsong Miniatures, depicting a colossal, fur-covered fiendish beast mid-rampage. Its broad, heavily armoured torso rises from a base of jagged crystal shards and shattered stone, thick chains wrapped around its body as though they were once meant to restrain something — and clearly failed. A long, sinuous tail arcs dramatically overhead, tipped with wicked barbed fronds, while its hunched posture and splayed claws suggest something that moves with terrifying, purposeful momentum. This is not a creature you encounter in the wilderness. This is something that was kept, and escaped.
The sculpt rewards painters willing to dig into its layers: thick matted fur with deep recesses, runed armour plates across the shoulders and chest, textured crystal terrain on the base, and that sweeping tail giving the whole composition serious vertical drama. Equally at home dominating a display shelf or the centre of a battle map, this is the kind of model that makes your players go very quiet when it appears on the table.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a large-format boss monster to anchor a climactic D&D or TTRPG encounter
- Are running an abyssal cult arc, a planar incursion, or a corrupted temple campaign
- Want a display-scale painting project with genuine sculptural complexity
- Collect large-format fiend and demon miniatures for their shelves
Encounter Hook:
The party descends into the subterranean vault to find the summoning array already cold — the chalked circles scuffed and broken, the ritual components scattered. In the far corner, something enormous is gnawing through a door that should have been locked from the outside. The chains around its neck are snapped. The cultists who put them there are not in evidence.

What's included:
This is a large display-scale model — the base measures 80mm, making it substantially larger than standard 32mm miniatures, as intended by the artist for use as a boss or centrepiece character. If you need a different scale, drop us a message and we'll see what we can do. The base is supplied detached and can be fixed with glue. The model arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used as-is straight from the box.
