Dreadfrost Yeti Bust by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
In the frozen wastes beyond the known world, the Dreadfrost Yeti does not hunt — it announces itself with a roar that shakes the ice from the pines and sends lesser predators fleeing into the dark.
- ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This bust captures that raw, primal fury in extraordinary detail. The Dreadfrost Yeti's massive ram-like horns curl outward from a broad, fur-matted skull, framing a face mid-roar — fangs bared, eyes burning with predatory intensity. Coarse fur texture ripples across the shoulders and chest, and a pronounced tusk juts from the lower jaw, adding a brutish asymmetry that feels genuinely dangerous. The sculpt is mounted on a chunky, ornate plinth base that gives the whole piece a trophy-hall gravitas — as if this creature was too fierce to be contained to a battlefield and demanded a pedestal of its own.
As a display bust rather than a standard tabletop miniature, this piece is built for painters who want surface area to work with — deep recesses in the fur, pronounced musculature, and an open mouth that practically begs for a wet-blended gum line and stained enamel teeth. It's equally at home on a painter's display shelf or serving as visual inspiration for the kind of creature encounter your players will talk about for months.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Want a show-stopping centrepiece for a fantasy display or competition entry
- Are building a collection of characterful creature busts
- Need a visual reference or inspiration piece for a yeti, abominable snowman, or winter beast encounter
- Are looking for a gift for a miniature painter or TTRPG enthusiast that goes beyond a standard mini
Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking a series of wrecked caravans along the Coldspine Pass — cargo scattered, horses gone, no bodies. When they finally reach the mouth of the glacier cave, they find a crude shrine inside: travellers' belongings stacked around a massive carved idol. The idol looks exactly like the creature now blocking the exit, and it is not pleased to find it has been redecorated.
